How it works
Enter an amount, choose the currencies to convert from and to, and get an instant result. Exchange rates are official daily reference rates published by the European Central Bank, fetched and cached by this site roughly every hour -- they are not real-time trading or market rates, so this tool should not be used to execute trades. Every result clearly shows whether the rates are freshly refreshed or the most recent ones available, along with their date. If rates cannot be fetched at all, conversion is disabled and an explicit error is shown instead of a guessed number.
Are these live, real-time exchange rates?
Rates are official daily reference rates published by the European Central Bank, refreshed on this site roughly every hour. They are not real-time trading or market rates, so they should not be used for executing trades.
What happens if rates can't be refreshed?
If a refresh fails, the tool clearly shows the most recent rates it successfully fetched along with their date, rather than guessing. If no rates are available at all, conversion is disabled and an explicit error is shown.
