ImageTools Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 25, 2026

ImageTools ("ImageTools", "we", "our") is an image-processing utility available at tools.ourpaisa.com. This policy explains what happens to your images and what information our systems collect when you use the site.

Information We Collect

You don't need an account to use ImageTools, and we don't collect your name, email address, or other personal details through the public tools. We collect a small amount of anonymous, aggregate usage data (described below under "Analytics and Usage Data"). Separately, the administrator login area of this site — not part of the public tools — uses a single authentication cookie; see our Cookie Policy for details.

How Images Are Processed

Every image tool on this site — resize, crop, compress, convert, the social media resizer, and image-to-PDF — processes your images directly in your own browser, using your device's own processing power. Two of these tools (Image to PDF, and "download all as ZIP") load an additional small library from a public content delivery network to build the file, but that library also runs entirely on your device and never transmits your images anywhere.

Your image files are not uploaded to, or stored on, our servers as part of normal use of these tools — there is no server-side upload endpoint for image files in the current version of ImageTools. Outputs are generated on your device and downloaded directly to it.

Because images are re-encoded through your browser's canvas rendering, embedded metadata such as EXIF data is generally not carried through to the files you download, though we can't guarantee this for every device or browser.

Analytics and Usage Data

To understand how ImageTools is used and to improve it, we collect anonymous, aggregate usage events. No image files, filenames, or EXIF/image metadata are ever included in these events — our analytics system only accepts a fixed, small set of event types, and rejects anything else. The events we may record are:

  • an anonymous visit
  • a tool being opened
  • a processing job being started
  • an output being generated successfully
  • a file being downloaded

Each event may include a randomly generated identifier stored in your browser (see "Your Choices" below), a tool name, and a count. This identifier is not linked to your real name, email address, or any other personal information, and we cannot reverse it to identify you.

Because this measurement relies on a browser-generated identifier rather than tracking individuals across devices or services, it's an approximation, not an exact count of unique human visitors. Shared devices, private/incognito browsing, cleared browser storage, and multiple devices per person can all cause over- or under-counting.

How We Use Information

We use the anonymous usage data described above only to understand which tools are used, gauge overall traffic trends, and prioritize improvements to ImageTools. We do not sell this data, and we do not use it for advertising or for profiling individuals.

Data Storage and Retention

Aggregate daily usage counts are stored on our server; daily detail is currently kept for up to 35 days before being pruned, while all-time totals are retained in aggregate form. We do not store your IP address as part of this analytics data. If our server temporarily uses request information such as your IP address, it's only to apply short-term rate limiting and abuse protection — for example, to slow down repeated login attempts on the admin panel, or an unusually high rate of analytics requests. This is processed in memory for security purposes only and is not retained as analytics data about you.

Third-Party Services

We do not currently use Google Analytics, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), advertising networks, or third-party tracking/advertising pixels on ImageTools. Two optional, purely client-side libraries are loaded from a public content delivery network (jsdelivr.net) only when needed — one to build PDFs, one to build "download all as ZIP" archives. Both run in your browser and never receive your images or files; loading them does involve your browser making a standard request to that CDN for the script file itself, the same as loading a font or icon from a CDN would. If we introduce additional third-party analytics or advertising services in future, we'll update this policy first.

YouTube API Services

Our YouTube Channel Analyzer uses YouTube API Services to search for YouTube channels and show their public statistics. When you use it, the text you type in the channel search (or the channel you select) is sent from our server to the YouTube Data API only to fetch public channel information. We do not ask you to sign in with Google, we do not access any Google or YouTube account data, and we do not store your searches, log them or include them in analytics. Public channel data returned by YouTube may be cached temporarily on our server (for no more than a few hours) and is not linked to you.

These features are also covered by the Google Privacy Policy: http://www.google.com/policies/privacy. Because the tool never accesses your Google account, there is no account access to revoke; you can review access you have given to other apps at Google security settings.

Security

We apply standard technical protections, including HTTPS encryption, security-related HTTP headers, and rate limiting on sensitive endpoints such as admin login. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

ImageTools is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we don't collect personal information from users of the public tools, we don't knowingly collect data about children through this site.

Your Choices

The anonymous identifier used for analytics is stored in your browser's local storage, and a separate short-lived marker is stored for the duration of your browser tab (session storage) to avoid double-counting a visit. You can clear this at any time through your browser's settings, which resets how you're measured on your next visit. You can also use private/incognito browsing to avoid persisting this identifier across visits. Because ImageTools doesn't require an account, there's no account data to access, export, or delete.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as ImageTools changes. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
