FD Calculator

Estimate the maturity amount and interest earned on a fixed deposit, for cumulative or non-cumulative payouts at any compounding frequency, plus a year-wise breakdown. Every calculation runs in your browser -- nothing you enter is ever sent anywhere.

Deposit Details

Interest is reinvested and compounded, and paid out together with your deposit at maturity.

This is an estimate only. Actual bank FD terms -- exact compounding convention, day-count rules, payout timing, premature-withdrawal penalties and TDS -- vary by bank and scheme; always confirm the specifics with your bank.

How this FD calculator works

Enter your principal amount, interest rate, tenure, compounding frequency and deposit type, then choose Calculate. For a cumulative deposit, interest is reinvested each compounding period and compounds for the whole tenure using the standard formula A = P x (1 + r/(100n))^(n x t), where P is your principal, r is the annual interest rate, n is the number of compounding periods per year, and t is the tenure in years (which can be fractional -- for example 18 months is treated as 1.5 years). For a non-cumulative deposit, interest is paid out at the end of each compounding period instead of being reinvested, so it does not compound -- your balance stays at the principal throughout, and the total interest paid out equals simple interest, P x (r/100) x t. Every figure, from the maturity amount to the year-wise breakdown, is computed entirely in your browser using full-precision arithmetic, and only rounded for display. Nothing you type is saved, transmitted to our servers, or used for anything other than showing you the result on this page.

Is this an official bank FD calculator?

No. This is an independent estimation tool built by OurPaisa Tools and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official calculator of any bank or NBFC. Actual FD interest rates, compounding conventions, day-count rules and payout schedules vary by bank and scheme -- always check your bank's specific FD terms before investing.

Is my deposit data sent to any server?

No. Every calculation runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter -- deposit amount, interest rate, or tenure -- is ever sent to our servers or stored anywhere. We do not require sign-up or login.

What is the difference between cumulative and non-cumulative FD?

In a cumulative FD, interest is reinvested and compounds over the tenure, paid out together with your principal at maturity. In a non-cumulative FD, interest is paid out to you periodically instead of being reinvested, so it does not compound -- your deposit balance stays the same and you get back only the principal at maturity.
