Find & Replace
Find any word, phrase or symbol in your text and replace the first match or every match at once, with an optional case-sensitive mode. Your text never leaves your browser.
How it works
Paste your text, type what to find and what to replace it with. The result updates as you type and shows how many matches were found. Choose Replace all to change every match or Replace first to change only the first one, and tick Case-sensitive for exact matches. Your original text is never modified -- the result appears in the box below, ready to copy. Everything runs locally in your browser.
Is my text sent to any server?
No. Find & replace runs entirely in your browser. The text you type or paste is never uploaded, stored, or included in analytics. We do not require sign-up or login.
Does it support regular expressions?
No -- matching is literal, so what you type is exactly what is searched for. Characters like . * ? $ and brackets are treated as ordinary text, which makes it safe for code snippets, prices and punctuation.
How do I delete a word everywhere?
Enter the word in Find, leave Replace with empty, and choose Replace all. Every match is removed from the result.
Is the search case-sensitive?
Not by default -- "Cat" also matches "cat" and "CAT". Tick Case-sensitive to match only the exact capitalization you typed.
