Tip: press the space bar to regenerate. Click a swatch to copy its HEX code.

How it works
Pick a base color and a palette type. The generator applies the matching color-harmony rule to build five colors, with subtle variations so each palette feels fresh. Lock the colors you want to keep and press Regenerate (or the space bar) to replace only the unlocked ones. Copy any single color as HEX or RGB, or the whole palette as a HEX list or CSS variables. Everything runs locally in your browser.
Is my data sent to any server?
No. The palette generator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you create is uploaded, stored, or included in analytics.
How are the palettes created?
Each scheme follows a classic color-harmony rule on the color wheel: analogous uses neighbouring hues, complementary uses opposite hues, triadic and tetradic space hues evenly, and monochromatic or tints & shades vary only lightness. Small random variations in saturation and lightness keep every palette a little different.
How does locking work?
Click Lock on any color you like. Regenerate then replaces only the unlocked colors, keeping your base color so the new colors stay in harmony with the ones you kept. With nothing locked, Regenerate starts from a fresh random base color.
How do I use the colors?
Click any swatch to copy its HEX code, use the RGB button for the RGB value, or copy the whole palette as a HEX list or as CSS custom properties ready to paste into your stylesheet.
