How it works
Paste your text with one item per line. The tool compares each line with the lines above it and removes any repeat, keeping the first occurrence and the original order. Choose whether matching should be case-sensitive, whether to ignore surrounding spaces, and whether to drop empty lines. The result updates instantly and shows how many lines were removed. Everything runs locally in your browser.
Is my text sent to any server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser. The text you type or paste is never uploaded, stored, or included in analytics. We do not require sign-up or login.
Which copy of a duplicate line is kept?
The first one. Every later line that matches an earlier line is removed, and the remaining lines stay in their original order -- nothing is sorted.
What do the options do?
Case-sensitive treats "Apple" and "apple" as different lines; with it off they count as duplicates. Trim ignores spaces at the start and end of each line when comparing (and removes them from the result). Remove empty lines drops blank lines entirely.
