YouTube Subscriber Growth Calculator

See net subscriber growth, average daily and monthly gains, annualized growth, and a simple projection of when you could reach a target subscriber count.

Subscriber Numbers

Target (optional)

Leave expected growth blank to project using your average growth over the period above.

Estimate note: Projections assume a constant growth rate. Real subscriber growth rises and falls with uploads, trends and seasons, so treat any target date as a rough projection, not a prediction.

How this calculator works

Net growth = current subscribers − starting subscribers. Average daily growth = net growth ÷ the number of days between the two counts (1 week = 7 days, 1 month = 365 ÷ 12 days, 1 year = 365 days), and average monthly growth = daily × 30.42. Two annualized figures are shown: subscribers per year at the same daily pace (daily × 365), and a compound growth rate ((current ÷ starting) raised to the power 365 ÷ days, minus 1). Time to target = (target − current) ÷ growth per day, using either your average or the expected growth you enter. It assumes a constant rate, which real channels rarely have. To look up a specific channel's public statistics, use the YouTube Channel Analyzer; see all YouTube Tools.

Why do the two annualized figures differ?

Subscribers per year assumes you keep adding the same number of subscribers each day. The annualized growth rate assumes the same percentage growth compounds over a year. Over short periods the percentage version can look very large, so use it with care.

Why does it say the target is not reachable?

If subscribers stayed flat or went down over the period (or you entered zero expected growth), a constant-rate projection never reaches a higher target. Enter an expected growth rate to test a different scenario.

Where can I find my past subscriber counts?

YouTube Studio analytics shows subscriber changes over time for your own channel. For other channels, public counts are abbreviated, so results based on them are approximate.

Is my data saved?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser, and the numbers you enter are not sent to our servers, stored, or included in analytics.
